

It provides you with the file name in the title bar, direct access to the file on a local network drive, the ability to download files from a remote server or directly from mobile devices that are used as a source of checksums, support for Unicode, and other international characters, and the ability to select which checksums file you want to create a report. Advanced Mode uses the same internal database as Simple Mode. The checksum control has two modes of operation Simple Mode to calculate hashes for files, which are saved in an internal database, and Advanced Mode for calculating and comparing hashes to existing database entries. The tool generates a digest or hash for each file by reading from the start of the file to the end sequentially and calculating a single-byte checksum for each byte read, in the order read.
